SIMULATION & PRACTICE

Let people practise
before the pressure is real.

Explore interactive desktop 3D or VR learning for situations that are difficult, costly or disruptive to recreate on the production floor.

Pick a task where better preparation would make a difference.

WHEN THIS IS USEFUL

Begin with the operational need.

When a high-value task needs realistic practice but live access is scarce or mistakes are costly.

WHY THIS MATTERS

A practical reason to take the next step.

01

Make practice repeatable

Rehearse an agreed scenario and discuss decisions without depending on a live machine being available.

02

Teach the reasoning

Build explanations, cues and feedback around what experts notice and why a choice matters.

03

Link practice to real work

Use simulation to prepare learners, followed by supervised workplace practice and authorised competence assessment.

FROM SCENARIO TO WORKPLACE

Practise recognition as well as the sequence.

A useful simulation helps learners notice relevant cues, interpret a situation and understand the consequences of a choice. Repeatable practice can support defect recognition, troubleshooting, setup and responses to abnormal conditions.

Discovery compares desktop 3D, VR and simpler learning formats against the task. A reviewed scenario leads to a separately scoped prototype. Workplace competence is verified through supervised practice and authorised assessment.

A DEFINED FIRST ENGAGEMENT

Start with a manageable scope.

Scenario discovery from £2,880
24 consulting hours · Estimated delivery: 2-3 weeks

Discovery for one training scenario at one site; one expert-capture session, a storyboard and a technical feasibility review.

What you receive

  • A learning and scenario brief. Audience, prerequisites, task decisions and intended learning outcomes.
  • A reviewed storyboard. The key steps, cues, feedback and evidence a prototype should support.
  • A prototype investment plan. Desktop versus VR options, asset needs, specialist effort and validation approach.

Simulation development, specialist engineering and equipment quoted separately.

Your input: An expert, a learning owner and access to approved task information or permitted reference capture.

The starting price does not include a functioning simulator. VR practice alone does not authorise a person to operate equipment.

Indicative starting fee for the stated scope, normally one site of around 100 employees. VAT where applicable, expenses, licences and separately scoped technical work are additional unless agreed. Final scope and fee are confirmed before work begins.

HOW WE REVIEW PROGRESS

Agree the evidence before the pilot.

Agree understanding and decision checks, then verify transfer through supervised workplace performance.

YOUR MACHINERY, YOUR LEARNING NEED

Turn expert judgement into a repeatable scenario.

With authorised access, experienced operators and specialists help capture controls, operating sequences, warning signs and approved responses. Manuals, fault records and permission for reference capture support a machine-specific learning brief.

A furnace scenario, for example, could present a cooling warning, ask the learner to interpret the available information and show a simulated consequence. The learner can rehearse diagnosis, escalation and recovery with expert feedback.

A staged project may progress from guided videos and understanding checks to interactive desktop 3D and, where useful, immersive VR. Client specialists review the intended behaviour. Deployment, updates, licensing and permitted reuse are agreed separately; a training simulation is not automatically an engineering prediction model.
